ISPRA experts for the monitoring of the earthquake effects on the physical environment

The ISPRA Coordination Unit for environmental emergencies, working at the Institute in the wake of the Abruzzo earthquake continues to ensure the coordination, starting from the night of April 6, between the different internal structures of the Institute, in collaboration with the Ministry for the Environment and the Protection of Land and Sea, in support of the Department of Civil Protection (DPC). Continuing are also the visits by expert geologists of ISPRA Department of Soil in different epicentral areas in the south-east and north-west of Aquila. The photographs show some of the most serious effects of the earthquake on the physical environment (landslides, fractures, collapse of materials, change in scope of water sources).
