Nitrate pollution of agricultural origin in Italy’s internal waters

APAT was assigned the role of collecting information and data on water quality in the Regions and Autonomous Provinces, to fulfil Community obligations while guaranteeing the widest possible diffusion of such information. As such, a synthesis report describing the situation up until 2002, was prepared regarding surface and subterranean internal water pollution indirectly or directly caused by nitrates.
