Green Blue Days

Green Blue Days is a forum in the form of talks structured over several days, where you can share experiences, propose solutions, to integrate the culture of Green-Blue in every aspect of life. The event aims to address a series of issues related to environmental sustainability - such as the UN Agenda 2030, ecological transition and digital transformation, social agriculture, sustainable tourism, architecture and territory, circular economy, end of waste, sustainable design and fashion, anti food waste, smart cities and green mobility with the aim of promoting a change that is above all cultural and social.

The Sustainable Development Festival 2021

Now in its fifth edition, the Sustainable Development Festival is the biggest Italian initiative to raise awareness and mobilize citizens, young generations, businesses, associations and institutions on the issues of economic, social and environmental sustainability, spread the culture of sustainability and make a change cultural and political that allows Italy to implement the United Nations 2030 Agenda and achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Voluntary tools for sustainability: EMAS, EU Ecolabel and sustainable events

The conference, organized by the Festival dei Due Mondi of Spoleto in collaboration with ISPRA, aim to promote the comparison between Umbrian institutions and companies engaged in environmental and social issues regarding voluntary instruments (EMAS, Ecolabel , certification of sustainable events) to promote sustainability in the production, tourism and recreational sectors.

3rd Seminar OCSE on indicators for the sustainability and the policy coherence

The seminar "Connecting the existing evaluation and monitoring mechanisms related to sustainability within the revision of the National Sustainable Development Strategy and towards the PCSD Action Plan" will be held on 17 June, in English language in a online platform. It's the last event organized by OCSE in cooperation with the MiTe in the frame of the PCSD project “Policy coherence for sustainable development: mainstreaming the SDGs in Italian decision making process"

Promoting the health culture and improve the sustainable tourism

The national project  Borghi del Respiro aims intends to enhance the vitality and livability of small municipalities in hilly or mountainous sparsely populated areas in which the regulatory standards defined by Legislative Decree 155/2010 are respected for the main pollutants, for the protection of human health and vegetation, in the principles of Sustainable Development defined by AGENDA 2030, with particular regard to the protection of respiratory health.

Strategic structures and safety for the environment

Strategic infrastructures must meet environmental control safety parameters. The day, organized by Canale Energia, will illustrate a picture of current jurisprudence and the event will end with a round table between the various players in infrastructure and environmental controls such as: Assocostieri, Unem, ISPRA.

EMAS and circular economy. Stakeholders meeting

Dialogue with the public and stakeholders is, together with the improvement of environmental performance, the main objective of the EC Regulation 1221/2009 EMAS, whose general approach is based on the need for sharing, credibility and transparency. The Ecolabel Ecoaudit Committee, with the technical support of ISPRA, organized a discussion table via streaming on the theme "EMAS and Circular Economy" in order to offer at the organizations the opportunity to share concrete experiences of Circular Economy implemented in their own reality, highlighting the relationship with the EMAS Scheme, and making any proposals and suggestions to strengthen its effectiveness.

On April 7, the "Fourth Report on the state of natural capital in Italy" was presented by videoconference, in the presence of the Minister for Ecological Transition Roberto Cingolani, which, after the approval, it will be sent to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy. The plenary meeting of the Committee for natural capital was attended by among others, in addition to the director general of the Mite for the naturalistic heritage Antonio Maturani, the Minister of Infrastructures and Sustainable Mobility Enrico Giovannini, the Minister of Agricultural Policies Stefano Patuanelli, the Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia, the Deputy Minister of Economy Laura Castelli, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor Rossella Accoto, the Undersecretary of the South Dalila Nesci and the president of ISPRA Stefano Laporta.

Testing the effectiveness of the NAP measures for the biodiversity protection

The results of the project funded by the MATTM and carried out in cooperation with ARPA Lazio (year 2015-2016), ARPA Piemonte (year 2015, 2018-2020), University of Rome Tor Vergata will be presented during a conference on 16 and 17 December 2020. (DIBIOS Department), University of Turin (DBIOS and DISAFA Departments).
The project aims to test the measures of the National Action Plan for the sustainable use of plant protection products (PAN) intended for the protection of biodiversity, to be implemented, especially in protected areas, Natura 2000 sites and Ramsar areas.

Biophysical and economic assessment of four ecosystem services for natural capital accounting in Italy

A group of scientists from ISPRA, the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) and Ikerbasque have demonstrated the feasibility of moving towards a widespread application of SEEA-EEA – the accepted international standard for environmental-economic accounting – compliant country-based accounts.

This work represents one of the first studies made available at such geographical scope using k.LAB, the technology powering ARIES, which is poised to automate accounting routines for producers of natural capital accounts.

LIFE Sic2Sic “Biodiversity and green economy" - Final Conference

The report on the results of the LIFE SIC2SIC project becomes an opportunity to face some of the fundamental challenges for the future. The new strategy for biodiversity at national and European level will be the reference framework to the issue of sustainable mobility and the economic and employment value of a territorial development with a strong environmental content.

Ceremony of the EMAS Ecolabel 2020 Award

The Ecolabel and Ecoaudit Committee and ISPRA, also in this year very difficult aims to give recognition and visibility to certified organizations by rewarding those that have best interpreted and applied the principles of the EMAS scheme and the EU Ecolabel.
The awards ceremony will take place on November 24 in live streaming with the participation of the Minister of the Environment, Land and of Sea, General Sergio Costa.

General States of Urban Green - VI edition

General states of urban green is an event promoted by the Committee for the development of public green set up at the Italian Minister of Environment, Land and Sea under the law 10/2013. Now in its sixth edition, the General States is an opportunity to analyze with the protagonists of politics, science, economics, arts, law, and other social sciences the role of green in the cities.

The central event will take place on 23 November on a day divided into four sessions organized by the Committee for the development of public green spaces, which will be attended by representatives of public institutions and the private world. The ISPRA President Stefano Laporta is participating in the first sesssion.
