The training course for inspectors of Safety Management Systems for the Prevention of major accidents will be held from 27 to 31 May 2013, in Rome. The course is addressed to technicians of Public Administrations, charged with controls in industrial sites at risk of a major accident.
The course, lasting 36 hours, is organized by ISPRA and by the National Fire Brigade, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Environment, and is developed to provide training for inspection staff to be employed in the control of the establishments subject to the Seveso Directive ; the training will be completed through participation at the inspections at industrial plants with risk of a major accident.
The initiative, aimed at 120 technicians belonging to the National  Fire Brigades, ISPRA, the Regional agencies for the protection of the environment, INAIL will improve the effectiveness of the controls established by the Directive Seveso, to increase the level of safety of industrial sites.
ISPRA contributes to the initiative, for the technical and organizational aspects, with many qualified and experienced inspectors, which will be integrated with those of officers and directors of the Ministry of the Environment, the C.N.VV.F, ARPA, and INAIL and of experts from the University of Bologna.
