Cultural exhibition "Science and technology told us"

The purpose of the cultural exhibition, proposed in several Italian cities, aims to  enhance communication and dissemination of scientific and technical issues through the presentation of books, written by scientists and scholars, which deal with specific topics related to the culture of the Earth Sciences.

Following the presentation of the book "Top secret - Bari 2 December 1943", an event that led to the sinking of huge quantities of chemical weapons in the lower Adriatic after the war, an ISPRA expert will present "Sinking of chemical weapons at sea: what consequences for ecosystems and for those who live in the sea ".

In this frame, in 2006 aslo the current ISPRA Emergency Area at Sea (then ICRAM), within the project: R.E.D. C.O.D. Project (Research on Environmental Damage caused by Chemical Ordinance Dumped at Sea), carried out investigations to assess the negative consequences on marine ecosystems.
