Soil is a vital, limited, non-renewable and irreplaceable resource and its health determines the wellness of current and future generations. Nevertheless, in spite the alarming situation everywhere, particularly in Europe, no rights are recognized to the soil. Hopefully the attention raised by the Expo and the International Year of Soils will raise awareness on this important topic to increase the responsibility towards such a vital resource.
