The Third Conference ENSREG on European Nuclear Security will be held the next 29 and 30 June 2015 in Brussels. Organized by ENSREG (European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group) - Group composed by senior officials from the national nuclear safety, radioactive waste safety and/or radiation protection regulatory authorities from all 28 Member States in the European Union and representatives of the European Commission.
The Conference aims to evaluate the main developments - both regionally and internationally - in the field of safety of nuclear plants, after the Fukushima accident and the outcome of the next Stress Tests.
This analysis will be done from the point of view of the legal framework and regulation of nuclear safety, that the measures adopted on the plants.
In this context, according to the program attached, will be treated in dedicated sessions, issues related to the new EU framework (eg nuclear safety Directive 87/2014 / EURATOM) and the expected evolution of the instruments of international law (eg the Vienna Declaration 2015, by the Diplomatic Conference on the Convention on Nuclear Safety). Furthermore, inside the same program will be faced also three other emerging issues, such as the Emergency Preparedness & Response.
