Emissions into the atmosphere. Focus on the industrial sector

The conference "Emissions into the atmosphere" will take place on May 9th with the focus on the industrial sector. The day includes the presentation of the latest data on national emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants, officially communicated by ISPRA to the various international bodies within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Paris Agreement and the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP/UNECE).

Then will be followed by an in-depth analysis of emissions from the industrial sector, highlighting both the criticality of some estimation methodologies which presuppose a voluntary commitment of the main industrial associations in sharing basic data and the importance of data collection systems such as the ETS (European Emissions) register.
