Pollution, an integrated sea-coast response

As part of an Agreement between MASE and ISPRA, an in-depth project was launched on the operational synergies deriving from the "MiTE Anti-pollution Plan" and national and local planning, which address the response methods, at sea and on the coast, in case of accidental pollution caused by spills of petroleum products and dangerous and noxious chemical substances (HNS).

In this context, a series of meetings takes place, lasting three days, which aim to increase awareness of the role of the local authorities (Coast Guard, Prefecture, Regional Civil Protection, Fire Brigade, ARPA) in managing the response to a Level 2 emergency. This is in order to develop an integrated sea-coast collaboration between the actors in the field and in the decision-making tables, as defined in the Local Operational Plans (POL) and in the higher hierarchy Plans.
