The story of the Strong Sea LIFE project
On Wednesday, April 22, at the Roma Eventi Piazza di Spagna Conference Center, the documentary “The Phantom Catch – The Great Problem of Ghost Nets,” directed by Igor D’India, will be premiered, and the results of the Strong Sea LIFE project, coordinated by ISPRA, will be presented.
The documentary tells the story of a five-year journey involving researchers and divers working to free the Mediterranean from more than 22 tons of lost fishing gear.

After the screening, the director and project experts will engage in a discussion with the audience to share the achievements of this mission, from the removal of “ghost nets” in the Gulf of Asinara to the protection of the most fragile biodiversity.
