The SNPA Guidelines 46 and 46bis on fill materials: regulatory, operational, and management perspectives

On July 2, an event organized by ISPRA entitled “SNPA Guidelines 46 and 46bis on Fill Materials: Regulatory, Operational, and Management Perspectives” will take place at the CNR Auditorium in Rome.

The conference is dedicated to the proper management of fill materials, a topic of growing importance in terms of environmental sustainability, land protection, and the proper planning of remediation and redevelopment activities.

The day will be structured around technical-scientific and institutional sessions. During the morning, participants will explore the regulatory framework and the contents of SNPA Guidelines 46 and 46bis, with particular attention to the identification, characterization, and management of fill materials, as well as the application of risk analysis. Midway through the day, an institutional discussion session is scheduled, featuring a round table involving representatives of institutions and major trade associations, with the aim of discussing critical issues, opportunities, and future perspectives in the management of fill materials.

In the afternoon, the event will continue with practical and application-oriented sessions, including a simulation using the RiskNet software and the presentation of case studies and concrete examples by the regional agencies.
