Summer School “Marine-Coastal Ecosystems and Climate Change: Chains of Connections and Resilience”

As part of ISPRA’s School of Specialization in Environmental Disciplines, the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) is organizing the Summer School on “Marine-Coastal Ecosystems and Climate Change: Chains of Connections and Resilience" which will take place in the city of Trieste from 14 to 18 September 2026.

The training event will be structured, as outlined in the program, over five days during which classroom lectures will be combined with laboratory activities and visits to sites of interest.

The Summer School is aimed at recent graduates holding a specialist/master’s degree, PhD candidates, and recent PhD graduates. Its objective is to provide a practical approach to the knowledge acquired during academic studies and to illustrate how such knowledge can be applied to the sustainable management of coastal areas. Particular emphasis will be placed on fostering a productive connection between the academic world and applied environmental research, also with the aim of creating new professional opportunities in both the public and private sectors.

Applications for participation must be submitted no later than 18 June 2026.
