The event is organised at the initiative of Arpa Calabria, in collaboration with Arpae Emilia-Romagna, and marks the conclusion of the national VeBS project. It will provide an opportunity to present the results achieved and foster discussion among researchers, institutions, and professionals working in the healthcare and environmental sectors.

VeBS is a project under the National Complementary Plan (PNC), entitled “Making Good Use of Green and Blue Spaces to Promote Health and Well-being”. Its scientific coordination is led by the Italian National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità).

The underlying idea is simple: parks, urban woodlands, rivers, lakes and coastlines are not merely pleasant places to visit, but valuable resources for public health. The project brought together environmental agencies, universities and healthcare institutions to study these spaces and translate scientific knowledge into practical tools.

ISPRA is responsible for Objective 1: Mapping regional policies, monitoring pollen trends, and assessing access to public urban green spaces.
