During the meeting, the institutional activities and skills of ISPRA were illustrated, in particular the fight against air pollution.
President Laporta highlighted how priority the issue of protecting water resources is and how developing and increasing educational activity among the younger generations plays a fundamental role, underlining the importance of the role of knowledge and the availability of reliable data and information to support of the political decision maker, an importance also expressed by Councilor Pompili in her speech; the Italian experience sees the National System for Environmental Protection, coordinated by ISPRA, as a guarantee of the best dissemination of reliable and homogeneous data.
The meeting concluded with the hope on the French side to initiate new and frequent contacts, in particular to evaluate collaboration hypotheses in view of the "Water summit" event, in consideration of the experience and the network of contacts developed by ISPRA on water theme.
