Meteograms

Meteograms show the evolution in time of weather forecast at a fixed location. Here you can find the meteograms provided by the 1200 UTC run of the 0.07° BOLAM model for several Italian places of interest, including capital cities.

For each place, the meteogram shows 4 different diagrams with variables in hourly intervals. The first one displays the mean sea level pressure (hPa). The second diagram shows the 2-m temperature (°C) and the 2-m relative humidity (%). The 10-m wind speed (m/s) and the direction from which the wind is blowing are shown in the third diagram using wind barbs. The last diagram displays the hourly precipitation (mm/h).

Meteograms are presented in UTC, they are valid for the next 5 days and half, starting from 0000 UTC (the first 12 hrs are negleted as spin-up time), and they are updated once per day (around 23:00 CEST). The name of the place and the time period covered is written on the top of each diagram.

Forecast meteograms are based on the grid point nearest the selected location and they represent, in this case, the mean forecast values associated with a 0.07° x 0.07° grid box.
