ISPRA participates to the Italian Research day in the World

With the aim of celebrating the Italian Research Day in the World (GRIM) the Honorary Consulate of Alexandria in Egypt and the Italian institute of Culture organize from 14 to 21 May 2022 a photographic exposition on scientific and technological research to which ISPRA participates with contributions.

Among the pictures also some examples of the Institute’s research on deep marine environments for the protection and valorization of the submerged archaeological heritage, with 3D images of second world war wrecks elaborated trough photogrammetry and on the impact of the marine litter on marine organisms, with images from the itinerary exposition of INDICIT European project which has examined more than 1500 dead sea turtles within the Atlantic and the Mediterranean studied areas. The exposition is an open window on different excellences of Italian research: from cosmology to the study of the Planet Earth, the protection of the environment, the development of new technologies and materials, the health, the energy and the artistic heritage. After the event in Alexandria a booklet for scientific dissemination will be published and made available on the website of the Ministry of the International Affairs and International Cooperation.
GRIM is an initiative launched in 2017 from the Ministry of Education, University and Research together with the Ministry for International Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) on the occasion of Leonardo Da Vinci Anniversary on April 15th. Every year MAECI trough the diplomacy network of Science Attachés  in the world and in cooperation with the Italian research institutes organize events to promote the contribution and the results of Italian Research.
