MEDJICARP Spring School on Multi-Technology Marine Monitoring
As part of the INTERREG NEXTMED MEDJICARP project, the University of Palermo (Department of Engineering) and ISPRA are organizing the Spring School on Multi-Technology Marine Monitoring, which will be held in Palermo from 6 to 8 April 2027.
The Spring School offers an interdisciplinary training programme aimed at university students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers, focusing on integrated observation systems for the marine and coastal environment.
Over the three-day training programme, participants will explore advanced marine monitoring technologies, with a specific focus on High-Frequency (HF) radar, FerryBox systems, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for oceanographic data. The programme will also examine key operational applications, including oil spill response, search and rescue operations, water quality monitoring, and the management of Marine Protected Areas.
