ISPRA in Ecomondo 2026
Nov 03, 2026 — Nov 06, 2026 Rimini ExhibitionISPRA’s presence at Ecomondo is now well-established. Together with the National System for Environmental Protection (SNPA), the Institute serves as a partner for this leading European event dedicated to the green and circular economy. This participation underscores ISPRA’s role within the landscape of environmental research and expertise, as well as its commitment to promoting scientific knowledge in support of the ecological transition.
ISPRA and the SNPA are hosting an exhibition space in the South Hall (Hall Sud) in Rimini, which will serve as a venue for various talks and meetings. Furthermore, experts from the Institute will participate in over 30 panel discussions held throughout the fair. Topics for debate include the circular economy, waste management, site remediation, land consumption and hydrogeological instability, water resources, sustainable finance, greenwashing, and the fight against environmental crimes.
On November 4th at 11:00 AM, the report “Emergency Activations – 2025 Data” will be presented at the Talk Area of the ISPRA/SNPA stand. This is the second edition of a study analyzing interventions by the Regional Environmental Protection Agencies (ARPA) and ISPRA during emergency situations with potential environmental impacts. The event will also highlight the “Let’s Make It Circular” (“Facciamo circolare”) communication campaign, developed by the Institute in collaboration with—and with funding from—the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
Having been involved in Ecomondo since its early years—the event will mark its 30th anniversary in 2027—ISPRA contributes its know-how to dialogues with institutions, businesses, the research community, and industry professionals, sharing experiences and helping to shape the debate on key environmental challenges. “For ISPRA and the entire System, Ecomondo is an unmissable event—especially this year, as its central theme aligns perfectly with our core priorities: transforming sustainability into concrete results,” said Maria Alessandra Gallone, President of ISPRA and the SNPA (National System for Environmental Protection). “This means regenerating degraded land, restoring nature, and implementing tools and platforms capable of preventing hydrogeological risks. Only through strong collaboration between the research community, public institutions, the industrial sector, and local territories can we all move in the same direction toward sustainability.”
