These are plant remains in a fossil state that have remained in their living position, immersed in the “clayey-sandy” compound of the Upper Villafrancan continental sequence.

Trunk dimension: over one and a half metres diameter by over eight metres length

Trunk peculiarity: preserved in a vertical position; pre-lignite fossilization state

Existing species: Taxodium sp., Nissa sp.; leaf intercalation, Gastropods and rare fragments of fish and crustaceans

Deterioration risk: high

Type of deterioration: meteoric agents
