This book is the Italian translation of the publication “Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material” 2012 Edition, No. SSR-6 of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This is the revision of the 2009 Edition of the same publication. The 2012 Edition of the IAEA Regulations No. SSR-6 have been implemented into the current edition of the international Regulations for transport by road (ADR), rail (RID), in-land waterway (ADN), sea (IMDG Code) and air (ICAO TI) governing the transport of dangerous goods included class 7 (radioactive material). The IAEA Regulations SSR-6 establish requirements and provisions to be observed to guarantee the safe transport of radioactive material used in industry, medicine, research and for electrical energy production by nuclear power plants.
