ISPRA in “Fa’ la cosa giusta 2026”
Mar 13, 2026 — Mar 15, 2026 Fiera di Rho

“Fa’ la cosa giusta” aims to promote and disseminate “good practices” in consumption and production across the country, while enhancing local specificities and excellence through networking and synergy with institutional bodies, associations, and local businesses.

The 2026 edition will take place from March 13 to 15 at Fiera Milano Rho. ISPRA will participate in the event at Pavilion 16, stands H62 and H64, to present Facciamo Circolare, a communication campaign on the circular economy, with a focus on food waste, separate waste collection, the blue economy, and biodiversity.

The initiative is carried out by the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) with funding from MIMI

In addition, on 13 March the Institute will organize two meetings dedicated to schools:

Intrusopoly – a board game on alien species and marine litter designed and developed by ISPRA for outreach and environmental education activities on the topics of invasive alien species and marine litter. Through the game, players will learn interesting facts about the subjects depicted on the squares and discover how responsible behaviours can help them reach the finish line first—a healthy marine environment.

Aliens Among Us is a story-based exhibition aimed at increasing knowledge about invasive alien species and raising awareness of the risks associated with their introduction and spread. The exhibition helps younger audiences understand that everyone can play a role in preventing the spread of invasive alien species and in protecting biodiversity

Law No. 132/2016, which established the National System for Environmental Protection (SNPA), identifies among its institutional functions the monitoring of environmental effects associated with the implementation of infrastructure projects of national and local interest.

For the implementation of the projects listed in Part II of Legislative Decree 152/2006 and subsequent amendments, project proposals must undergo an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure through the preparation of an Environmental Impact Study (EIS). This study includes the Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMP) for the potentially significant and negative environmental impacts deriving from the construction and operation of the project.

Hydrological Balance and Water Resource Availability: 2025 Update, Seasonal Forecasts and Climate Projections
Hydrological Balance and Water Resource Availability: 2025 Update, Seasonal Forecasts and Climate Projections
Mar 24, 2026 09:00 AM — Mar 24, 2026 01:30 PM Rome, ISPRA headquarter

On the occasion of the celebration of World Water Day, ISPRA intends to present the 2025 update of the estimates of the components of the hydrological balance and the natural availability of renewable water resources provided by the BIGBANG model – GIS-Based Hydrological Balance at the National Scale on a Regular Grid. The presentation will also include assessments of the 2025 drought conditions and long-term hydro-climatic statistics.

The BIGBANG assessments at the national and river basin district scale for total precipitation, evapotranspiration, aquifer recharge, and water resource availability (the so-called “internal flow”) constitute the official national data for the WISE SoE – Water Quantity (WISE-3) data flow and for the evaluation of the Water Exploitation Index Plus (WEI+), within the framework of the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC, as well as for the reporting requirements of the OECD/Eurostat Joint Questionnaire on Inland Waters.

Furthermore, starting from the National Statistical Programme 2023–2025, the National Hydrological Balance indicators produced through the BIGBANG model constitute official statistics within SISTAN – the National Statistical System.
