6th INQUA International Workshop on
Active Tectonics Paleoseismology and Archaeoseismology
19-24 April 2015
Pescina, Fucino Basin, Italy
We invite scientists in the fields of Active Tectonics and Earthquake Hazard Assessment, including multidisciplinary approaches and modeling to join this event. We will celebrate the centenary of the 1915 M7 Fucino earthquake, that was one of the largest and devastating earthquakes ever occurred in Central Italy. Scientific sessions will be attended in the unique historical and cultural atmosphere of the Pescina village, which was affected by extensive coseismic surface faulting in 1915; a 2 days field trip in the Fucino and L'Aquila will follow, retracing on the field the path of faults, landscapes, castles and ancient settlements. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to join a pre-congress archaeoseismic tour downtown Roma.
- REGISTRATION TO THE WORKSHOP AND FIELD TRIPS ARE CLOSED
- ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS CLOSED
